Detective Comics v1 #518, 1982 - Batman recovers from a previous battle, Vicki Vale closes in on his secret identity, and Deadshot returns for another assassination attempt. As usual, Don Newton's splash page is superbly drawn and composed. From there, his illustrations begin to atrophy under Bruce Patterson's inks. The execution is stiff and confining, taking out the spontaneity of the original pencils.
