Magnus Robot Fighter #15 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter #15
Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #15, 1967 - Transported to another dimension, Magnus and Leeja meet Mogul Badur, a despotic ruler from a long-vanished empire. Though futuristic, the villain's attire and surroundings have a strong Asian flair (see interior page below). Russ Manning's art is filled with ornamentation, contrasting this world with the more spartan North Am. These details carry over into the architecture and the mysterious portal at the story's beginning. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #30. Drawn competently, but with considerably less splendor, is an educational page on flying and the latest chapter of The Aliens. This is 15 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues by Manning. /// Manning gallery
