Neal Adams |
Skate Man v1 #1, 1983 - One of his oddest creations, Neal Adams takes a former roller derby pro and turns him into a crimefighter. While his pencilling is pretty clear throughout the story, the inks seem to suggest others lending a hand. Several pages, including the flashbacks, have overly crowded panels and layouts. Others are more roomy and varied. Adams' drawings overall generally meet expectations. The cover art replicates the story's opening spread. Skate Man makes his first appearance in this debut issue. This issue also includes artwork by Andy Kubert. This is 1 of 1 of Skate Man issues by Adams. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover, 1st origin Skate Man, 1st issue
