Magnus Robot Fighter #6 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #6, 1964 - Deep underground, a renegade robot builds indestructible counterparts from a newly discovered mineral. Magnus must stop him while avoiding the giant, lumbering Troglodytes. In addition to the usual techology and machinery, Russ Manning designs strange insect-like creatures. While silly-looking, these underground denizens are a welcome change from the usual robotic enemies. Manning's back-up tale is equally worthy, using fields of color to simulate dimensional changes. The main feature was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #35. This is number 6 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues with Manning art and/or covers (not including reprints).
