Magnus Robot Fighter #12 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #12, 1966 - Volcanoes suddenly erupt around the country's key science centers, prompting Magnus to take action. This frenetically paced story is ably drawn by Russ Manning. There is the prerequisite battle against robots, but the artist creates interesting new designs with each issue. The artwork is generally good, ending with a serene view of the newly resurrected Old Faithful. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #38. Manning's second, shorter tale also meets expectations. This is number 12 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues with Manning art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Manning or Magnus Robot Fighter issues. See also this blog's Manning checklist.
