Gorgo v1 #15, 1963 - An anthropologist returns to deepest Africa in search of his daughter. Unexpectedly, he finds himself between Gorgo and a long lost Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Steve Ditko distinctive style permeates the pages, yet the execution is looser and more erratic than usual. There are more admirably drawn panels than not, including the superbly textural jungle scenes. The cover is a montage of interior panels, perhaps redrawn by another artist? The T-Rex is newly inserted and blatantly inferior to the version inside. This is 8 of 9
