Love Confessions v1 #54, 1956 - Never missing an opportunity to make people laugh, a guy makes fun of his girlfriend at her expense.
Matt Baker's masterful layout places the main characters at the forefront, while leaving room for the amused audience in the background. The girl's handkerchief reinforces her distraught state. Even the male figure's tilt suggests a casual, reckless nature. The interior story has a similar scene, but Baker's version is far better and more sophisticated. Other artists in this issue include Bill Ward. This is 3 of 3
