Action Comics v1 #42, 1941 - Known as the "Prairie Troubador", Greg Sanders is a radio star known nationwide for singing western songs. Apparently he also moonlights as the Vigilante, the masked crime-fighting cowboy. When the infamous Killer Kelly runs amok in the city, the hero uses his shooting and lariat skills to bring him to justice. Written by Mort Weisinger and drawn by Mort Meskin, this back-up story was later reprinted in Secret Origins #4. This issue also includes artwork by Sheldon Moldoff and Bernard Bailey.
