World's Finest Comics v1 #269, 1981 - Looking into the cause of his nightmares, Captain Marvel Jr. discovers his old foe Sabbac is responsible for his sleepless nights. After a lackluster effort in the previous issue's episode, Don Newton returns to form. His layouts are thoughtful and his drawings more carefully rendered. Dan Adkins' fine inking certainly helps. Page four's depictions of an ominous storm is a high point of the story. This story was later reprinted in Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal #3. Other artists in this copper age comic include Trevor Von Eeden and Rich Buckler. This is 17 of 28 World's Finest Comics issues by Newton.
