Action Comics v1 #276, 1961 - In this issue's back-up tale, Supergirl pines for what normal girls have: girlfriends they can confide in and relate to. Her wish comes true when three super-powered teens make themselves known to her. Phantom Girl, Triplicate Girl and Saturn Girl, all members of the Legion of Super-Heroes, transport her to the 30th century to meet more of her peers. Supergirl meets Brainiac 5, Sun Boy, Shrinking Violet and Bouncing Boy for the first time. This issue marks the first appearance of several Legionnaires who would become mainstays over the years.
