Superboy v1 #147, 1968 - Mostly filled with reprints, this 80 page giant begins with a brand new story. The origin of the Legion of Super-heroes is told for the first time, recounting the events that brought together Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy. E. Nelson Bridwell's script is succinctly drawn by Pete Costanza. This origin was later reprinted in Secret Origins v2 #6. This eighty page giant also reprints the first appearances of Brainiac 5, Phantom Girl, Triplicate Girl, Sun Boy, Shrinking Violet, Bouncing Boy (all in Adventure Comics #276), Ultra Boy (Superboy #98) and Sun Boy (Adventure Comics #290).
