Venus v1 #1, 1948 - The goddess Venus (residing on planet Venus of course) pines for a normal life on Earth. Without explanation, she suddenly gets her wish, including the loss of her powers. Not a lot of action going on, but then again this series was marketed toward a mostly female audience. A Hedy Devine tale rounds out the rest of the book. Art and story credits are unclear, but there is a Harvey Kurtzman "Hey Look" gag page. Venus would later be revived in the 1970s in Sub-Mariner v2 #57.
