Batman v1 #435, 1989 - The murder of a Batman impersonator is abruptly stopped by the real dark knight. As the storyline concludes, John Byrne provides yet another cover worthy of his script. There's something amusing about a cringing "Batman", just as the silhouetted figure in the background seems ominous. The layout would have been stronger if not partially obscured by the masthead / trade dress. Other artists in this copper age comic include Jim Aparo. This is 5 of 5 Batman issues by Byrne.
