Navy Combat #17 - non-attributed Al Williamson art

Navy Combat #17
Navy Combat v1 #17, 1958 - His battleship converted into an icebreaker, the captain longs for more traditional fighting action. Al Williamson's hand is vaguely recognizable in the story art. Some of the faces are more repetitive than usual and the overall inking is sloppy, to the say the least. Perhaps not coincidentally, this work is not attributed in comic book price guides. Other artists in this golden age war comic include Gene Colan, Syd Shores, Marvin Stein and Angelo Torres. Cover by Joe Maneely. This is number 1 of 1 Navy Combat issues by Williamson.
