Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #159, 1953 - Determined to buy Donald's house at his price, Uncle Scrooge turns to devious methods to get him to sell. After sending over rat inspectors, witches and dragons, the old miser hires a scientist to create a real will-o-the-wisp.
Carl Barks illustrates this battle of wits with perfectly timed humor and irony. Naturally, the most memorable scenes involve the creation and deployment of a scary, ethereal will-o-the-wisp (pages 7-9). Oddly enough, this Halloween-themed tale was published in December. Other artists in this golden age comic include Paul Murry. This is 119 of 280
