Ghost Rider v3 #1, 1973 - First appearing in Marvel Spotlight #5, the Ghost Rider ran for seven issues before earning his first self-titled series. This first issue continues an ongoing storyline pitting Johnny Blaze against Satan himself. Daimon Hellstrom is introduced on the opening page shown below. However, his appearance in all ten panels is obscured or in shadow. Not until Marvel Spotlight #12 does he emerge as the Son of Satan. This Gary Friedrich story is drawn by Tom Sutton and Syd Shores.
