Our Army at War v1 #162 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1966 - Hunted by Nazi soldiers, Sgt. Rock leads his pursuers into an unexplored cave. The ensuing skirmish awakens the Viking Prince from his frozen slumber. In a bizarre story, Joe Kubert brings together two of his most iconic characters. The issue provides mostly a back story for a hero that appeared in early issues of Brave and the Bold. Kudos to Kubert, who combines the war and adventure genres almost seamlessly. This story was later reprinted in >Sgt. Rock Special #1. Other artists in this issue include Gene Colan. This is 99 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert.
