Barnyard Comics #25
Barnyard Comics v1 #25, 1949 - In two different tales, a small bear saves his friend from a wolf and a shy cricket outsmarts a hungry bullfrog. Both text stories feature a single, spacious drawing by Frank Frazetta. Beautifully detailed and composed, his talent is also evident in a two-page Hucky Duck tale. Tempted by the devil, the youngster skips school to play hooky. Frazetta combines superb draftsmanship with astute pacing and layout (see interior page below). Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury. This is 13 of 16 Barnyard Comics issues by Frazetta.
