Alpha Flight v1 #23, 1985 - The ancient beast Tanaraq emerges within the form of Sasquatch, catching Puck, Talisman and Aurora off-balance and off-guard. Only Snowbird, taking on a similar form, has any hope of stopping him. Excellent layouts and pacing mark this work by John Byrne. Pages and large individual panels are well designed. The dream sequence on pages 1-3, drawn borderless to contrast against the regular story, is the highlight of the issue. This is 23 of 30 Alpha Flight issues by Byrne.
