Our Army at War v1 #89, 1960 - Recalling a previous battle with a Nazi panzer unit, Sgt. Rock pulls his men out in retreat when he encounters them again. Joe Kubert's opening splash replicates the cover theme, but vastly improves upon it with added details. On the story itself, the artist cleverly designates past from present with both open and roughly edged panels. Subsequently, Rock's memories appear more spacious and visually interesting. This story was later reprinted in Our Army at War #173. Other artists in this silver age comic include Ross Andru. This is 39 of 236
