Creepy v1 #13, 1967 - Holding the devil to their pact, Ed Nugent returns to life as promised. Carefully applied washes by Steve Ditko make his artwork more dimensional and complex. Like his other Warren magazine works, the artist reveals a richness not often seen in his regular comics. Most impressive in this case is the opening splash, depicting the main character's twisted descent into hell. This story was reprinted in both Creepy #26 and Eerie v3 #135. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Jerry Grandenetti and Angelo Torres. This is 5 of 8 Creepy issues by Ditko.
