Brave and the Bold #11 - Joe Kubert art

Brave and the Bold #11
Brave and the Bold v1 #11, 1957 - When weapons fly from their owners and ships come apart inexplicably, the Viking Prince traces the source of this mystery. Joe Kubert's style is perfect for these Nordic adventures. His opening splash and several panels are missing key background details, a fault he would remedy on later issues. Note the masterful composition on panel 3 of the page below. This story was later reprinted in Star Spangled War Stories #149. Other artists in this golden age comic include Russ Heath. Cover by Irv Novick. This is 11 of 32 Brave and the Bold issues with Kubert.
