True Tales of Love v1 #22 (#1), 1956 - Skipping outings and vacations with friends, Beth and Ricky prudently save their money to start a new life as man and wife. Matt Baker captures the excitement and newness of a whirlwind romance in his imagery. His second page (see interior page below) is especially good, using shadows to full effect. Note how panel three's painterly method adds a dream-like quality.
