Star Spangled War Stories #124 |
Star Spangled War Stories v1 #124, 1965 - Rescued at sea, a delirious GI recounts a tale of battling dinosaurs with his fellow soldiers. Joe Kubert appears to have contributed the soldier's face on the cover, but not enough to be significant. Inside, the story pages are rife with prehistoric creatures, drawn from different angles to emphasize scale. Admittedly, there's more visual interest than your typical war comic. This story was later reprinted in DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #21. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jack Abel. This is 32 of 96 Star Spangled War issues by Kubert.
