Jim Starlin |
Detective Comics v1 #504, 1981 - Combining technology and toys, the Joker lures the Batman into an unlikely trap. Don Newton's layouts are typically busy and this tale is no exception. Still, one has to admire that no two pages are alike. His drawings are consistently pleasing, made more so by Dan Adkins' smooth inking. Jim Starlin's cover replicates a panel inside, but his additional details make it all the more absurd. This story was later reprinted in
Tales of the Batman: Gerry Conway #1. Other artists in this copper age comic include Jose Delbo. This is 23 of 39
