Superman #408 - Al Williamson art & cover

Al Williamson
Superman v1 #408, 1985 - Superman ponders the threat of nuclear annihilation and how he could prevent it. The inking chores go to Al Williamson for the first time on this series. His smooth, confident lines work best on the more detailed panels, especially pages 2-3. Overall, however, Curt Swan's pencils prove a little too incompatible in style. This story was later reprinted in Best of DC #71. Other artists in this copper age comic include Joe Rubenstein. This is 2 of 9 Superman issues by Williamson.
