Spunky v1 #2, 1949 - When the State Fair nears, Spunky sets his sights on winning a prize for his hand-whittled chair. Frank Frazetta drew many text illustrations for Standard, often producing work of unexpected beauty. Unfortunately, in this case the artist displays little of his talent. His artwork is largely uninspired and indistinguishable from his peers of the era. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury. This is 2 of 2 Spunky issues by Frazetta.
