Detective Comics v1 #498, 1981 - Surviving a previous encounter with the Batman, the brutishly strong Blockbuster makes his way to a mining community. Don Newton's layouts are more conservative than usual, but his drawings seem more purposeful. A few panels stand out on their own due to careful design and execution. The final scene, of a defeated Batman and victorious Blockbuster, is Newton at his best. This story was later reprinted in
