Thor v1 #355, 1985 - Going one on one against a giant foe, Thor takes no quarter on this Walt Simonson cover. Lines radiate out from the center to suggest the force of impact. Shards fly in all directions, partially obscuring the artist's own signature below. Note how the giant's cape envelops the masthead, adding a darker background for contrast.
