Savage Sword of Conan v1 #64, 1981 - Along with the inside front cover, Alex Toth contributes a series of full page illustrations featuring the Cimmerian. Several are simple in execution, using a graphic style that omits details. Others are more fully fleshed out, with greytones that add modeling and depth to the picture plane. Overall, Toth proves himself more than capable at drawing the character. In fact, one can only imagine what the artist could have done with an ongoing series. Other artists in this copper age magazine include John Buscema, Gil Kane, Ernie Chan and Joe Jusko. This is 2 of 2 Savage Sword of Conan issues by Toth.
