Strange Tales v1 #126, 1964 - Summoned by his master the Ancient One, Doctor Strange is tasked with entering another dimension and confronting the dreaded
Dormammu.
Steve Ditko's artwork is enjoyable, made more so by his weird landscapes and shifting forms. These creative settings are key to the artist's success on this series.
Clea also makes her first appearance, initially as a bystander. This Stan Lee story was later reprinted in
Doctor Strange v2 #3. The less than satisfying cover is drawn by
Jack Kirby. This issue also includes artwork by Dick Ayers. This is 62 of 82
Strange Tales issues by
Ditko and 58 of 74 Strange Tales issues by
Kirby. ///
