John Byrne |
Namor (the Sub-mariner) v1 #3, 1990 - Having captured the Griffin at the Statue of Liberty, Namor sees an opportunity for the beast to lead him back to his masters. He reveals himself to the board of Roxxon, quashing the previous rumor of his demise. As before, John Byrne's writing and art are in perfect sync. A high point of the issue is a splash page viewing the Roxxon skyscraper from above. Byrne's cover, although good, doesn't quite match the level of his interior pages. This is 3 of 25 Namor issues by Byrne.
