Simple and straightforward, Carl Barks' artwork just meets expectations. Panels are uniformly sized, although layouts vary. He reserves his best visual gag toward the end, as the ducks cross over a land bridge that's not what it seems. This story was later reprinted in Walt Disney Comics Digest #42.
