Eerie v3 #68 |
Eerie v3 #68, 1975 - A precursor to his work on Frankenstein, Bernie Wrightson chronicles a scientist's failure to reanimate a corpse. The scenes are painstakingly detailed. His layouts are both engaging and inventive. Unlike other magazine works, his drawings benefit from being printed in full color (see interior page below). Wrightson displays considerable skill and passion with this effort. This story was later reprinted in
Creepy #113 and
Berni Wrightson Master of the Macabre #1. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Ken Kelly, Leopold Sanchez, Esteban Maroto, Jose Ortiz and Paul Neary. This is 11 of 14
