Space Adventures v3 #2, 1968 - Arriving in a flying saucer, technologically advanced humans recruit a journalist into joining their cause. With his help, they hope to change key events to avert a world-wide disaster in the future. This ambitious tale is told in three chapters, each drawn by a different artist. Jim Aparo and Pat Boyette make worthy contributions, but it's Steve Ditko's work that stands out. Whether depicting medieval archers or hi-tech machinery, the artist's linework is skillful and confident. Ditko's last two pages are especially good, utilizing pattern and texture for spatial effects.
