The World Around Us #19 |
The World Around Us v1 #15 / The Illustrated Story of The Jungle, 1960 - The life of David Livingstone is vividly captured by artist
Al Williamson. This is his third and last effort on the series, while also his longest. The dense jungles and open savannas are both drawn with great care. Spacious panels allow room for a variety of exotic animals, including a lion attack (see interior page below). Williamson's often straightforward pencils are generally reinforced by inker Reed Crandall. This story was later reprinted in the book
Al Williamson Forbidden Worlds. Other artists in this issue include Gray Morrow. This is 3 of 3
World Around Us issues by
Williamson.
