Batman #222 - Neal Adams cover

Neal Adams
Batman v1 #222, 1970 - A mystery involving a popular rock quartet piques the interest of Batman and Robin. An obvious Beatles homage, the theme even references the rumors of Paul McCartney's death. Neal Adams does an admirable job with the cover in general. Notice how he fits all the characters within a sensible layout. While not his most dynamic effort, Adams' cover remains an interesting cultural artifact of the era. Other artists in this issue include Irv Novick, Dick Giordano and Joe Giella.
