Wartime Romances v1 #13, 1953 - As a pretty girl latches on to a young cadet, two women reveal their jealously through catty remarks. Matt Baker contributes a solidly drawn cover while previewing some of the interior stories. His figure drawings are well defined and artfully placed, though the three-panel design tends to be crowded. While generally unremarkable, his artwork still stands out from the other romance comics of the era. Other artists in this golden age comic include Ric Estrada, Ben Brown and Dave Gantz.
