Legion of Monsters v1 #1, 1975 - The Manphibian makes his first appearance, flanked by Dracula and the Monster of Frankenstein. Neal Adams showcases two of Marvel's popular horror characters on his cover, while introducing a third. His painterly approach is common among his work on Marvel magazines. Like the others, Adams' cover attracts due to its sense of realism. Inside this one-shot issue, each character appears in his own story. Manphibian's tale is written by Marv Wolfman and drawn by Dave Cockrum and Sam Grainger. This issue also includes art by Val Mayerik, Dan Adkins, Pablo Marcos and Ralph Reese.
