Famous Funnies #141 - Alex Toth art

Famous Funnies v1 #141, 1945Accompanying a large selection of humor and adventures strips, a brief text story tells about the confluence of past and present. Alex Toth chronicles a crisis on a rural cattle ranch, saved only by the capabilities of a modern automobile. His draftsmanship is a work in progress, while noting this is still early in his career. His efforts are deliberate, but the two illustrations fall just short of expectations. Other artists in this issue include Clifford McBride and more. This is number 1 of 1 Famous Funnies issues with Toth art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Toth or Famous Funnies issues. See also this blog's Alex Toth checklist.
