Savage Sword of Conan #15 - John Byrne, Walt Simonson art

Savage Sword of Conan #15
Savage Sword of Conan v1 #15, 1976 - Continuing the history of the Hyborian Age, certain countries emerge while others falter. Long after King Conan’s passing, Aquilonia begins expanding into neighboring territories. Walt Simonson's eclectic style continues to be tailor-made for the barbarian genre. His use of fine lines contribute to the impressive details throughout the story. This issue also features a series of portraits of Robert E. Howard characters, each drawn by a different artist. A young John Byrne faithfully depicts a clearly agitated Red Sonja (see interior page below). Other artists in this bronze age magazine include John Buscema, Howard Chaykin and Alfredo Alcala. This is 1 of 2 Savage Sword of Conan issues by Byrne and 4 of 7 Savage Sword of Conan issues by Simonson.
