Prison Break v1 #2, 1951 - In an apparent male fantasy scenario, a breakout occurs in a prison full of buxom women. This cover is an early example of Wally Wood's penchant for "good girl" art, but his female renditions have been better. Joe Kubert chronicles the escape of a three (male) inmates and their crime spree across several states. This brutal story is drawn in fine detail, enhanced by the use of montage and visual metaphors. Kubert's artwork surpasses the rest of the issue, with the exception of Everett Raymond Kinstler's elegant inside front cover. Other artists in this issue include Allen Ulmer. This is 1 of 1
