Justice League of America #180 - Jim Starlin cover

Jim Starlin
Justice League of America v1 #180, 1980 - To free their comrade Firestorm, the world's greatest super-heroes do battle with the sorceress Satin Satan. Jim Starlin's cover is crowded but not generally chaotic. The reader's eye is led from background to foreground, starting with the masthead / trade dress and ending with Green Arrow. Not surprisingly, Superman and Batman are prominently displayed. Kudos to Starlin for maintaining some semblance of order. Other artists in this copper age comic include Dick Dillin and Frank McLaughlin. This is 3 of 5 Justice League of America issues by Starlin.
