Savage Sword of Conan v1 #12, 1976 - After skipping several issues, the history of the Hyborian Age continues as a backup feature. New kingdoms and civilizations begin to emerge. Walt Simonson's page layouts are more than adequate, but his drawings lose a bit of precision and detail. Still, the high point is his collage of races/ethnicities grouped within a full page splash (see interior page below). The Cimmerians first appear in this historical timeline, prompting a portrait of their most famous barbarian on the final panel. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala. This is 3 of 7 Savage Sword of Conan issues by Simonson.
