Meanwhile, the Avengers are compelled to appear before a government panel. The static courtroom setting contrasts directly against the frenetic battle that follows. John Byrne ensures plenty of action as the team goes into attack mode. As exciting as his artwork is, the most memorable scenes are the opening splash of the oncoming meteor (featuring iconic portraits of individual heroes) and the Avengers accosted by the rabid press (page 3).
