Creepy #73 - Bernie Wrightson art

Creepy #73
Creepy magazine v1 #73, 1975 - Reflecting the issue's science fiction theme, Bernie Wrightson places Uncle Creepy on a desolate planet. There's exceptional linework throughout, particularly on the (American?) striped flag and the rocky terrain. The two different textures nicely contrast the pinpointed stars in the distance. Unlike some other Wrightson splashes, this one isn't printed on the inside front cover. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Paul Neary, Richard Corben and John Severin. This is 10 of 19 Creepy issues by Wrightson. /// Wrightson gallery
