The Hawk v1 #8, 1954 - Using a dead man and his horse for cover, the Hawk tries to fend off an ambush. Competently drawn and laid out, Matt Baker's cover is certainly arresting. The rich color palette certainly adds to its appeal, helping to define the foreground figures and the background landscape. Baker's signature appears near the purchase price.
