Haunt of Horror #1 - Frank Brunner, Mike Ploog art

Haunt of Horror v1 #1, 1973 - Mostly text stories with accompanying illustrations, this digest boasts writing from such luminaries as Fritz Leiber and Harlan Ellison. The art is as varied as the stories, but the work of both Mike Ploog and Frank Brunner stands out from the rest. Their respective styles work perfectly in tandem with their assignments: a werewolf story (Ploog) and a tale of sorcery (Brunner). Superb renderings from both artists. This is number 1 of 1 Haunt of Horror issues with Ploog art and/or covers and number 1 of 2 Haunt of Horror issues with Brunner art and/or covers. Other artists in this issue include Gil kane and Gene Colan.
