Creepy v1 #2, 1965 - Frank Frazetta draws a brief history of the werewolf, summarizing events with rich, painterly images. His coinciding cover is less effective, due to its static quality. Al Williamson's tale follows a pair of movie location scouts into a remote, abandoned town. His panel-within-a-panel approach (see interior page below), combined with precision linework, results in an uncommonly sophisticated work. This story was later reprinted in Creepy #137. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Joe Orlando, Reed Crandall and Angelo Torres.
