Teen-age Romances v1 #12, 1950 - Driven by ambition, a young chemist takes credit for her boyfriend's discovery while secretly dating his boss. This Matt Baker story resides in the same issue as his earlier work "I Was Fooled by First Love" (originally titled "I Took the Wrong Road to Romance" from Teen-Age Romances #2). Changing viewpoints and close-ups in the new tale shows the artist's continuing development. There's also a noticeable increase in detail. Baker's cover is precisely composed, although curiously, the woman in the forefront doesn't appear inside. Other artists in this golden age comic include Ruth Atkinson.
